Barkingham Palace Policies
Vaccination Requirements
All dogs must be current on Rabies, DHPP (Distemper/Parvo), and Bordetella. Proof of vaccination must be on file before the first visit. Vaccinations must remain current throughout your dog's enrollment.
Temperament Evaluation
Every dog must complete a free Temperament Evaluation before their first daycare or boarding stay. This is a supervised trial session to assess play style, energy level, and group compatibility.
Health Requirements
Dogs must be in good health to attend. Dogs showing signs of illness (coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, discharge) will not be admitted and should remain home until fully recovered.
Flea & Parasite Policy
Dogs must be free of fleas, ticks, and other external parasites. Dogs found to have parasites will be isolated and the owner will be contacted for immediate pick-up.
Spay/Neuter Policy
Dogs 7 months and older must be spayed or neutered to participate in group play. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Operating Hours & Pick-Up Windows
Monday through Friday, daycare drop-off and pick-up are available from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Boarding is available 7 days a week. Boarding drop-off must be completed by 5:00 PM. On weekdays, boarding pick-up is available any time before our 7:00 PM close. Sunday boarding pick-up is restricted to two windows: noon–1:00 PM and 5:00–6:00 PM.
Late Pick-Up Policy
Each client receives one courtesy late pick-up — your one 'get out of jail free.' After that courtesy has been used, a pick-up from 7:00 PM through 7:30 PM carries a $20 late fee. Pick-up after 7:30 PM is not permitted. Your dog will stay overnight and the owner will be charged for overnight boarding.
Cancellation Policy
Daycare cancellations must be made by 7:00 AM on the day of the scheduled visit. Boarding cancellations require 48 hours notice. Palace Pass members are not subject to cancellation fees.
Emergency Authorization
By enrolling your dog, you authorize Barkingham Palace to seek emergency veterinary care if needed. You will be contacted immediately. You are responsible for all veterinary costs.
